Pleased that actors are getting work

I just learned that Jessica Alba is in both Sin City and The Fantastic Four (I've seen neither; I probably won't see Sin City, and will probably catch FF on DVD with Gye Greene). I'm pleased that she's finding work. I first saw her in the t.v. series Dark Angel (which both GG and myself refer to as "Dark Angle," to the slight annoyance of The Lady), and for whatever reason wished her well. And then she was in that movie about a dance instructor (or some-such) called Honey, which was apparently not very good.

Another female actor that I wish well for is Jessica Hecht. She was on the Jonathan Silverman t.v. show "The Single Guy," many years back; she was also "the lesbian life partner" on "Friends." A quick look at www.imdb.com (Internet Movie Database) shows she was also in The Forgotten -- so perhaps I should rent that sometime.

Beside Bruce Campbell, there are two male actors that I hope to "make it big." One is Jeremy Piven: I discovered him when he played the lead in the short-lived t.v. show "Cupid"; he was also the best friend in John Cusack's Serendipity. The other is Matt Frewer -- perhaps best known as playing Max Headroom, but also had a good guest-appearance on "Star Trek: Next Generation" as the time-traveling historian. Matt has a very unique voice.
