Gye Greene goes to Canberra

In a few hours Gye Greene is flying out to Canberra, the capitol of Australia, for a week's worth of training. Apparently, he is to be a part-time Data Archivist at work; he will be meeting with other people to learn the technical (and perhaps philosophical?) aspects of data archiving.

GG seems excited about the prospect, as it gives him a chance to -- as he says -- ''Get his geek on''. However, I will miss him, as despite my living with him and The Lady for two years, I am still much closer to him than to her: The Lady is cordial and pleasant, but we do not share the same rapport that GG and I do.
