The Lady has a cold

Unfortunately, for the last few days The Lady has had a cold.

Here's a little ditty I made up, inspired by The Lady's current condition:

The Lady has a cold.
The Lady has a cold.
She's sneezy,
She's wheezy,
And a little bit disease-y
The Lady has a cold,
The Lady has a cold.
Bum, bum, bum, bum,
Bum, bum, bum, bum...

(repeat)

Nice to have company

Gye Greene stayed home from work today, to type on his dissertation. Ralphie the Dog and I were both very pleased; it's good to have the company.

Nothing remarkable: we chatted over lunch, and I read on the veranda or in my "room" (just an area on the veranda, really -- I'll post photos someday) while GG hid out in the office and typed. Ralphie the Dog wandered back and forth between the two of us, parked at our feet or nearby.

A quiet -- but pleasant -- day. :)

Mildly concerned about GG

I'm becoming mildly concerned about Gye Greene. He's blogging about his bedtime, for goodness' sake!!!

Which is what I'm concerned about: For the last week, or probably more, he's been still up when I go to bed, and he's up before I get up. That can't be good for a body. I mean, he's no spring chicken anymore!

I'm just saying...

Skipping -- tra-la-la...

While reading another person's blog, I came across an entry discussing the efficiency of skipping: it's faster than walking, but more efficient than running or jogging.

I agree -- although, skipping is not appropriate for everyone.

To skip, one must have a certain... lightness of sole.

The Cure (the band)

Pinched from a Gye Greene comment on another blog:

If The Cure was a more jolly band, this would make a good slogan -- perhaps for a bumper sticker, or a poster:

"Bad music is the problem. We're The Cure."
