More and more summer

Nice sky

One nice thing about Australia -- or at least, this part of Australia; I can't speak for the rest of it -- is the clear blue sky.

It's hot -- but it's pretty.

Two more songs!

My apologies: I just realized I never posted the additional two songs.

One is ''Bewitched'', which is a cover of a song by the Olympia band Beat Happening. They are a three-piece: On each song, one person sings, one drums, and one plays guitar. On our version we added electric bass. Also, our version is slower than theirs: Deliberately so, to give it more of a groove, or feeling of power. But mostly, this tempo was just how it needed to sound. Also, please note that there is a very gradual ''reverse feedback'' fade-in -- so please exercise caution in adjusting your PC speaker's volume settings!

The other is ''Talking to Myself''. Old Roommate gets a mention in this. It was primarily written by Gye Greene, inspired by an episode at work. I belive this one was recorded after we discovered compressions -- so the recorded sound may be a little ''tighter''. This may be our most ''commercial'' song that we've yet recorded.


However, both of this are from a 4-track, onto a ''master'' cassette tape, and then played into the PC and converted to an MP3 file. Eventually we'd like to re-master all of our older songs by mixing them down directly into the PC -- or pehaps even dumping the individual tracks onto the PC.

We'll see. :)
