Nice Ralpie-dog

Lacking any other interesting or exciting thing happening in my life, I thought I would post a photo of my little canine friend, Ralphie.

Ralphie very much enjoys lounging about under and behind GG and The Lady's bed. They placed their bed at a fourty-five degree angle from the walls of the room, thus creating a little hidden triangle of sanctuary for the kind little dog (as well as occasionally the next-door-nephew). The first photo was a ''surpise'' shot.

The second photo shows Ralphie emerging from his lair, coming to say hello to me.

Finally, Ralphie has emerged from under the bed, and is lying down next to the cot, waiting for a scritch.

During the days when GG and The Lady are at work, Ralphie is my only companion.

Interesting ceiling

I have been reduced to blogging about ceilings! This is a photo of the ceiling in the living room of our house.

Apparently, The Lady's grandfather created this ceiling. If you were able to look closely, you would see that these are not, in fact, solid beams: Instead, they are planks (possibly 1'' x 6''?) nailed together into elongated ''box'' shapes.

Very clever! And, a good look.

These ceilings are very tall -- perhaps ten feet. This has inspired The Lady and GG to pay the extra for higher ceilings in the house they are having built. (Plus, GG says the higher ceilings are better, acoustically -- for recording purposes.)

Free items from GG

How very nice!

Last evening, GG gave me a perfectly good -- although half-used -- bottle of aftershave.

Very nice of him.

P.S. How sad that my life is so dull that my blog entries consist of people giving me half-used toiletries. :)
